Understanding the Impact of E-learning Dimensions in Advancing Digital Pedagogy in Nepalese Higher Education
The study highlights several key factors affecting the effectiveness of E-learning in Nepalese higher education, including awareness, instructor quality, technology, governance, attitudes, content development, and resource availability. It aimed to understand how these factors impact digital pedagogy advancement. Nepalese universities face challenges like technology access, guidance, resource equity, and teaching methods in digital education. Addressing these requires flexible infrastructure and technical support. Effective pedagogy in higher education relies on student engagement, preparedness, curriculum design, and the roles of instructors. A quantitative research approach based on the positivist philosophy of worldview was applied to understand the opinions and experiences of higher-level students on the effective development and implementation of digital pedagogy. The questionnaire through the survey study was used as a research tool to collect data from two hundred and thirty-nine respondents. Statistic descriptive analysis was used to analyze the collected data in this study.
The findings show a significant positive correlation between proficiency in digital content creation and competence in data visualization, which enhances the effective development and execution of digital pedagogy. Conversely, the results also indicate a negative correlation between students' self-efficacy and professional advancement, swift adoption of E-learning, the efficacy of E-tutors and instructors, the availability of E-learning tools and resources, the effectiveness of digital courses, and the customization of E-learning experiences, which suggest a detrimental impact of the factors mentioned above on the successful development and implementation of digital pedagogy within the Nepalese higher education landscape. The implications of our study would be beneficial to policymakers, educators, and high-level and young researchers who can understand the current complexities of advancing digital pedagogy in higher Education and further suggest that thoughtful integration of E-learning dimensions has the potential to transform the landscape of digital pedagogy, offering opportunities for improved teaching practices, enhanced learning experiences, and overall educational advancement.
